I just wanted to make sure one thing. Its true isn't it that international students can only apply for masc degree and not meng degree??? Am I wrong? ;D......For sfu masters I mean :-X

If are interested in MAsc and have a really good profile(with research and papers etc), you can get admit in thesis based masters.
Otherwise, you can go for non-thesis/Meng/coursework Masters.
It is nothing related to being international student.You can apply for any course you like, It depends which suits you the most.
And this is for all universities.

Existing MEng students can choose to stay in the old MEng program, or switch to the new program. Please click here for the description of the old MEng program.
The MEng program is designed for full-time or part-time students who want to take some graduate courses to improve their competitiveness in the job market. Students can choose either the Project MEng option or the Course MEng option. International students are welcome to apply. Note that students in the MEng program are ineligible for university financial support such as TA and Fellowship.

International students cannot join a part time course. Their Meng program must have been part time earlier.
Mostly masters is a full time program. One should regularly check the websites, maybe your bad luck!

Actually they had kept a rule that international students cant apply for meng before jan 2013. This jan only they changes this rule. And after checking their website during nov dec 2012 I dropped it from my list of universities where I wanted to apply for meng. Even though one professor was ready to take me but since he was not giving any financial assistance in masc I dropped it. but now am regretting it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 :-[
