Hello Guyz,

I am your senior, came here as student in 2009 for course in GBC.
My suggestion, bring your original certificates and 5 notarized copies of your all documents, it may come to your use for PR or other official purposes. Also bring 40-50 passport size photographs.Bring your stationary Stapler etc (stapler cost $30 wwwwoh) These things are quite expensive here.

When you travel from India, keep original Letter of acceptance and fee receipt ready, immigration officer will ask you and you will stand like a dumb stupid if you keep it in your luggage which is already sent for checkin.

Arrange your accommodation in advance with help of student association or international student centers, sep season rents go high and apartments or room sharings get booked faster. Avg rent varies from $450-500 per room or $1200-$1400 for whole apartment. Avoid areas like Albion&Finch, Jane&Finch, Keele and Finch or sherbourne street these are not safe areas.

Let me know if you need more help in anything, those who haven't booked tickets get negotiable rates from agents for Jet Airways student package...

Crime, snatching and stuff I would look like doing racial comments if do detail comment. Just search in google ... for crime at these streets you will come to know.

For accomodation I would suggest just pay rs5-6k to agents in India they will fix it for you. or just reach student center of your college by email they will let you know. Avoid school provided homestay they are very expensive around 800-900per month, where u can find it help of agents around 300-400 on room sharing... let me know ur dates in Inbox.
