Ok. Here's the lowdown. Camosun College is on Vancouver Island near Victoria. It is one of the most temperate zones in Canada. They boast about their spring bulb count when much of Canada east of the Rockies is still shovelling snow!! Right now I am on Salt Spring Island which is a 35 minute ferry ride from Vancouver Island. There are little daffodils in bloom everywhere. It will be sunny and 8C this afternoon. Victoria can be a windy spot at times, but it is also drier and sunnier than Vancouver. I did my nursing degree at UVic, but Camosun also has a good reputation. I can't think of a lovelier spot to live and study. Good luck with your decision and the rest of your application process.

thx mate,

made my day!! by saying all this!

much appreciated.

regarding the city, pippin has explained well.

As far as the college is concerned, its a decent college as in preparing for university. Most of the programs can be transferred to Uvic or other universities in BC.

They also have good industry contacts in the local sector for courses that offer co-op/ placements etc.

As for getting a visa, i have heard people being rejected for this college in the past. This may entirely be out of lack of preparation during the application process. so if you are concerned about your visa chances, provided you put together a very strong application, general rule of thumb is to go with a university admission.

Good Luck

A Camosun alumni

Hi everyone..

Anyone up for camosun college for Jan 2014 intake on this forum?

& the ones who went there in last intake..
Can I plz have some feedback of PG in Marketing?? I have got admission in that one.

Regards.

Camosun, NAIT, SAIT, BCIT are elite post secondary institutions and our even better than certain univ . Cough cough *viu tru* cough cough :P
Camosun altho is pretty expensive. Heard it has an elborate Human Resource specialisation
I have strong feeling Camosun has less desi population which should enhance your real canadian experience. For some people this can be negative aspect as they might feel left out amongst caucasions.

Any one in Victoria,British Columbia please give me your contact number.
I am coming for sept. 2014 so may be we can share a apartment together.
My mail is hetpatel999@gmail.com

bro i'm planning to apply for pg diploma in camosun college, i wanted to know how is the college and how are the job opportunities.

Camosun is a good college, though the cost of living is quite high. Those who want quality education should go for it, not the ones who want to earn as well. It's expensive. So, students with deep pockets should consider going to Camosun/ Victoria.
