I think that Rome may be still on strike. But they have minimal staff processing applications for urgent matters only. Our police certificate expired too and I hope that they do not asked for a new one.
We have already spent more than we should have. We sent in everything and because we have been waiting so long both my step daughters on my partners application that they both turned 18. So we had to get medicals redone $$$$$ in May 2013, police certificates, and judicial papers, because they were now over 18 but the cost comes in have them TRANSLATED!!!
Now my partner did his 2nd medical in October 2012, and we are again coming up to a year!!!!!!!!! So if we do not hear from them by October he will have to do his 3rd medical $$$$$$$$$$. And have his police reports and judicial reports translated AGAIN.
I am going to send a letter to the Embassador to see what is really going on! And to think that ROME should have less work now that they opened up another embassy in Milan!!
