I quote you, because it is true MICC is much faster than CIC. i have said , also in other posts that the quebec government seems much faster in dealing with papers in general. yesterday for example i called montreal to ask info about how to exchange my italian driving licence and today i receive a call from the quebec automobile government association and they have already taken an appointment with me for next week to open my file....when our daughter was born in 2008 they called us the next day we arrived at the house from the hospital and they asked us if we needed anything and the next day a nurse came at the house to visit us ....once i asked for the duplicate of a birth certificate for my daughter and they said "Sir, it is going to take minimum 5 days" less than 3 days later the birth certificate was in my mailbox(well I was living in montreal back then but still pretty fast). so i thought that the federal govmt was going to be fast too and probably it is but everybody in this forum knows that at least regarding Immigration (CIC)there is a huge lack of staff or donT know what it is but is definitely not fast.....sa_ja said:My boyfriend got his in 15 days. congratulations!!! remember when you authorize the payment with your credit card that since april 2011 the immigration fees for quebec are up to 253 dollars.(don't want to delay your application for a couple of bucks....)canadiancitizen said:We are so happy, yesterday we received from CIC the letter we need to send to MICC so Quebec could approve me as a sponsor ... They also gave me an ID number, so I went to check my ECAS and bingo... it shows that my application has been sent to MICC and is in process. these are good news!!! Under my ECAS page says:
We received your application to sponsor husban's name on May 10, 2011.
We started processing your application on October 3, 2011.
Thank you so much Inlandappl...would you please help me with this one, the payment by credit card form ask the name and birth date of the Applicant... is me the Sponsor who should respond, right?Inlandappl said:congratulations!!! remember when you authorize the payment with your credit card that since april 2011 the immigration fees for quebec are up to 253 dollars.(don't want to delay your application for a couple of bucks....)

on the form it says "Mandatory if the cardholder is not the applicant". anyway anyone can fill that box because there is no signature required. it is better to put all the info of the applicant anyway. of course the signature is required for the payment box. in that case it should sign the cardholder(it doesnt matter if its the sponsor or the applicant)canadiancitizen said:Thank you so much Inlandappl...would you please help me with this one, the payment by credit card form ask the name and birth date of the Applicant... is me the Sponsor who should respond, right?

Hi,you can get your health insiurance card before getting PR. you need the original of your CSQ, the original of your status in Canada(visitor visa, or working permit etc) 2 photos(size for the health card) and the AIP (approval in principle). i was asked to provide also the property deed with all the signatures of the purchase of my house where i live. but if you don't own the property, i don't think it is necessary(they will probably ask for something else). i don't remember if they asked me also for my birth certificate. all originals are promptly returned by mail, usually without delay ( a couple of weeks later)lyrical said:hello dear quebec inlanders,
Ive been reading this post and found out from some posts that it might be possible to get the Carte de lassurance Maladie or whatever once you get the CSQ. even if u dont have the PR. can this be possible? Thank You.

I would appreciate if sb share with me his experience on the steps of the procedure, especially since not only immigration canada but also immigration quebec is involved. So far, I did all CIC asks for inland application, I have applied inland including an open work permit application and my application was received according to post canada the 3rd of may. as for now ... I'm waiting. what comes next?when does MICC enter the scene?
