when i went to the quebec city local office they took the photos there and i signed and checkd the COPR there , directly at the landing interview. i guess local offices work differently. regarding the place of birth, also in my case it didn't show. the officer didn't seem to be concerned about that but when i told her she put anyway a note at the bottom of the page that indicated my place of birth.Jurjen said:Got a letter from the Montreal office this morning. Before they can schedule my landing interview, I have to check a copy of the CoPR for incorrect information and send the 2 pictures for the PR card in advance.
Now I saw that they didn't fill in my place of birth, is a correction going to delay everything again (do they reprint the CoPR in the local office, or does it go through Vegreville)?
I'm going to walk by the office today to see if I can speak to someone there about this. Hanging on the phone for CIC HotLine takes too much of my time.
the immigration officer where place of birth was missing put by pen a star and a reference below saying" it should read:.......(the city where i was born)"Jurjen said:Got there at the end of the afternoon (16:00), doors locked, nobody at reception (read: reception area the size of my bathroom), so couldn't ask any questions or drop off my envelope.
Back home I called CIC, the agent had to think about an answer, because he didn't know local offices send a photocopy of the CoPR for verification. In the end he said that I should correct it, just to be sure. I asked if it would cause any delays. He explained that local offices print the CoPR themselves (Vegreville doesn't even provide the first one for the local office), so it shouldn't cause delays.

don't trust what they say at the call centre, never trust. having experience with this i can tell you that they have told me so many different dates and none of them was accurate. imagine the same day that i have received my landing letter they told me on the phone that i had to wait another 2 months minimum to have news from them.10 minutes later i go to the post office and what do i find?: the landing interview letter which had been sent 8 days earlier...Bubli said:I called them and they told me, you will not be contacted till may 2012
