Great Lucy!!

This is good news!

I hope to be just 1 month behind you....

we've sent the CSQ today....they should get it tomorrow (Express-post). July 20th...
So we are now in the last stretch...fingers crossed that they keep working fast....or I should say faster!!!

can't wait !!!!

CrazyLucy,

about 2 weeks ago? I sent it even i didn't get second letter. My husband got his latter but not me. And today i received visitor visa for 2 years.

I dont think the person who is applying for PR gets a letter ever. 2 weeks? Give it another week and a half.

Usually only the sponsor gets the envelope, not the PR applicant. In some rare cases they do send the sponsored person also his/her package. Seems to be completely random. But don't worry: if only the sponsor gets the envelope, there'll be a few papers for the sponsored person in there as well. (They're just saving envelopes and mail expenses.)

I think in my case i got a letter for me too(the applicant) but like jurjen says it seems completely random and at the end the only letter that counts is addressed to the sponsor

CrazyLucy, thanks. I was scare. I have to be patient.

But is it normal, i got new extension visitor visa for a 2 years? usually they gave me 6 months.

My last application, explaining that I was going through the Canada Immigration Spouse and Common-Law process, they gave me 7 months than the normal 6 months. I think it's just at the descretion of the immigration officer. I asked them to give me whatever time they think would be right, instead of just giving me a few months. You're lucky. I dont think there is anything to worry over with the visitor visa and the sponsorship. I does NOT mean you're going to be waiting for 2 years to hear anything, so dont think that.

WOOHOO! First and second stage together!! :D

By the way: how long did it take for accepted people to receive the envelopes by mail? We're moving out in 2 days, so I think they'll arrive too late. ???

Congratulations!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Really happy for you!!

Two days is not enough to receive the envelopes, at least 5-7 days...... it took 7 days for me. i was approved on the 29 th of april and received the letters on the 6 th of may. then they made a mistake and sent my file to the wrong office so to make it short my AIP was sent again to the quebec city office to process it for the landing interview. they told me minimum waiting time 2 months , I'm still waiting.

Thanks!! :D :D

Mine is sent to the wrong office too. They didn't process my address change yet, so it's sent to Québec in stead of Montreal. So I'll need to wait 2-3 months if I did my math right.

Congratulation!!! :) :)

So happy for you!!!!

I'm still waiting. I called last week. They told me they're only waiting on the work and address update. I send that off June 20th. I'm not sure how long that takes to attach to my file though. But the woman on the phone said "Other than that, everything looks good" So that's pretty neat.

Hello guys!!!

I just received Certificat de selection du Quebec :D finally!!!

What is the next step?

Next step- Guess it's AIP. How long it takes?
