Test email, webform... I had never received any reply....I am October 2019 applicant and my wife July 2019. We had our exams on April 2021, and we are still waiting for a DM. Frustratingggggg
I feel you. It is frustrating. I know they don't respond to the test email address in the Montreal office. That's why I asked if anyone has another email to which they would reply.

I am Feb 2020 applicant.
I've got DM Mar 18 and still waiting for an
invitation. So Frustrating..
Is there anyone has email or contact information for contact Montreal office???
Lost patience!!

This really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that; I do truly hope you get your joy soon - it would be a wonderful Christmas gift, to be sure (Are you listening, IRCC? ;))

May I ask when did your background check was finished?
My DM was on July 3, 2021. I’m waiting for the oath invitation too. Single applicant Montreal office.

Thanks for the support and wishes :) . I have a strong feeling IRCC is being childish because I criticized and complained about them in a feedback, and now they want to punish me. Honestly, they have ruined any joy for getting the citizenship. The only joy for me now will be being done with IRCC.

There is someone else who have been waiting since Jan 2021 (Nov 2019 applicant). The Montreal office is the worst office. They say they have a huge backlog and then take applications from other offices, while pushing our applications back the queue all the time to make room for "more important applications". By the way, if you get the Montreal's office email address, let me know. I am trying all means to reach them to know what's going on.

If we withdrew the application and re apply Dec 2020 online, we would have finished all the process.
Do you think that we should withdraw and apply again or just wait for the oath invitation? Which would be faster?

My concern is, this year they ignored the backlog and processed 2021 applications. But no one can guarantee they will do the same in 2022. Maybe they will focus on backlog in 2022?

I doubt they will look back to the backlog and give it a priority. It obvious what they are doing: what happened happened, but now they need to maintain their image of 12 month processing time for new applications (which I don't understand to be honest. Who cares if it takes 18 months!!). This means 3-4 years of delay for the older applications because they are no longer important to them. It was bad luck and incompetency and unfairness to us.

For us who already DM and are waiting for the oath invitation, do you think it’s a good idea that we withdraw and apply again? I’m scared when see someone waited for 8 months already

I wouldn't do that. If you were still waiting for the test, then maybe, but after DM is not a good idea. How long have you been waiting? 6 months?

okay i made it clear before and Ill make it clear again. 2019 is barely moving. To reduce the backlog they only have one way, clear out 2020 completely so then its just 2019 and 2021 . You will see only 2020 getting oath invites.

IRCC doesn't care about the backlog. As long as they meet their targets, they are happy. IRCC has moved past 2019 applications. Now they just squeeze them whenever and wherever there is a chance, but will never be given a full attention.
