hi , please share your experience for going in person to swear in Montreal office today ..thanks

Hi, The overall experience was good. The entire ceremony lasted around 2 hours. We had to wait for 30 mins outside until they let us in, even though eveeryone arrived by 12:30pm. After entering they checked all our documents, took our PR cards and we handed over the consent form and they provided us with a welcome folder. Then we were seated at our assigned seats, family together. After giving the oath, they called us by name to collect the certificate. After that we proceeded to have a photo taken with the judge (optional). The good thing you get the certificate immediately, but you would need to wait atleast 2 days before applying for the passport.

yesterday I called ircc, to ask a question about my schedule for ceremony .my application has been updated on 17 January 2023 to complete all tracker except ceremony not started . the agent said : your application is ready for ceremony , check your inbox . I can not say exactly which date , but it seems very soon you should receive an update. I think this is good thing for anyone are in this step ( wait for ceremony) don't be shy .. call them to get any update or new information. Montreal office is moving so slowly

I just received an email for my virtual oath ceremony next Monday (Feb 6th)!

My tracker has not been updated, and still shows the last update was the physical presence etc completed December 29th. Would have been nice to have slightly more warning than only a week as I'll have to move around some work meetings, but I'm so happy it's happening so soon.

Congrats, keep promise , when u done your ceremony, don’t leave here .. share your experience for your virtual ceremony

Applied for passport last thursday at the downtown office. I didnt have an appoitnment, instead did a walk-in. We were there before 830am. I did not request for an urgent processing, so they said it will take 2 weeks to get the passport. The whole process was a breeze, but it took us 30 mins for the person to verify all the documents and enter all the details in the system, since it is a first time application. I opted for the pick-up, $20 extra for each applicant.

Advice: Make sure everything on the form that is required is complete and you have all the supporting documents that's asked for in the form.

I will do! I'll let you know how it goes once I'm done. Your invite should come through soon too. My tracker status still doesn't show anything about the oath yet, so don't worry if yours doesn't show yet either.
