Since it's a holiday, I was crunching some numbers for us Montreal folks that have taken the test, from the 2021 spreadsheet. Some findings:

  • The average time from Test to DM is about 100 days.
  • The average time from DM to Oath Ceremony is about 30 days.

Now, the suckier part is that for online applications, the Test to DM number is worse at about 120-150 days on average.

Montreal office is known to be one of the slowest if not the slowest office when it comes to issue DM but at the same time on IRCC website it's mentioned that the oath letter is sent approximately 4 months after the test which somehow matches with the 120 days that you calculated.

It is been six months (Nov 2021) since my background check is completed and my test, the rest is still pending.
Not a single word from them!

Are the all the rest 'not started' or are they 'in progress' and only the Oath is 'not started'?

Any May 6th Oath Montreal people still waiting for Certificate. Thanks

Same. 7 months after test.

Hope Montreal office will finish our applications before Quebec elections this october. Historically provincial and federal elections make things move a little bit as they want to allow peoples to vote.

That's an interesting point - has that really been the case? Not sure how IRCC would care about provincial elections, TBH.

Yeah, I'm not going anywhere this summer but I would like to vote.

For some reason, there are zero Test to DMs in the spreadsheet for folks tagged in Montreal in the July and August 2021 tabs. September has a few (nothing for Oct, Nov, Dec). Wonder why the crater in July and August :(
