under SPP category, you can file visa only to colleges and only once..if ur rejected under SPP,u cant again in SPP...u should apply in General the next time

under SPP - u just have to pay ur 1st sem fee and show GIC..

To answer your questions:
1) It does not have bad reputation in the market, generally Hospitality students get hired after their co-op
2) You can get the co-op if you sincerely put efforts in it. College helps in bridging the students with employers.
3)Part time jobs are available. The student can only work if he gets the work permit while he lands otherwise he needs to wait for 6 months.
4) Both programs have equal opportunities, depends on what your back ground is and how smartly you can sell yourself

Unpaid co-op opportunities are easily available as some Hotels and Institutions have co-op program ( they hire students for co-op terms on unpaid basis). it again comes down to how better you can market yourself.

hi there,
to answer your questions:
1. Lambton College is an okay college to get in, actually, there are not huge differences in the 24 public colleges in Ontario. Lambton is kinds strong in Hospitality
and mobile program(this program is very awesome, which is 2 terms studying in class and two terms for coop)
2. I will say, yes. it is not hard to find a coop in Hospitality field
3. Lambton's Toronto campus is located in a business area where there is companies and shopping malls ard it, and it is easy to find a part time job as long as you speak
English, or you do not mind working in kitchen
4. yes, jobs are always offered to ppl who are willing to work :)

it is easy to get a paid coop job in Hospitality. as long as you don't mind wording as a housekeeper, the pay is around 12 to 14 Canadian dollar per hour, including accommodation, but not food. kind of a good deal, and you can save your rent.....I have friend in this program, she is co-oping in Fairmont. 14 bucks per hour.
living in dormitory....which is not bad.
