Anyone enter through YYZ recently?

Our flight arrives around 7 pm on Friday and my mom will land as a PR. Anyone who did this recently? I am trying to estimate how long this may take so that I can book a taxi. We will travel to a nearby city outside of GTA.

I know that this will take as much as it takes. I am merely looking for anecdotal experience to come up with a non-scientific estimate.

Also, does anyone know whether they'll let me stay with my mom? I am traveling with her on the same flight. I am a Canadian citizen, but she does not speak much English. I am hoping that they'll let me be with her at the immigration section. Anyone with similar experience?

Almost certain they'll let you go through with her, they prefer that someone's there to help with language.

As for timing: basically comes down to how long the line in secondary is. Highly unpredictable but my impression is better than it used to be. Evening on a Friday - impossible to guess.

I'd either use Uber or similar or just the airport taxi queue.
