Hi There,

I am doing my PR application and planning to live either in Edmonton or Calgary. This is simply because i have a brother who lives in Edmonton and a sister who lives in Calgary. I am not fast track; but old applicant and have now done my medicals. patiently waiting for a passport request

how long has it been and when did u apply? were u a foreign worker?

applied in feb,2007. No, have not been a foreign worker in Canada, never been to canada you see. Sent medicals on the 4th of April, and now waiting.

Yes I applied for FSW and planning to live in Calgary or Edmonton. I have no friends or family in Alberta but I choose Alberta due to Oil Industry as I am a Geologist.

Yes the oil industry is booming.... (well it was 3 yrs ago when I first moved to Alberta, don't know now with the recession)... so u got ur 2nd AOR?

It is not almost 2 years, it is now 40 months, so more like almost 4 years . yes, I guess i am in the end game now and hopefully a positive one.

yes in fact i am planning to go to edmonton as i have some relatives .... also let me know how are banking jobs there...especially related to loan officers....

Im not too sure about banking jobs esp. in ur field... but there are always new branches opening up so you can always try... when r u landing here?

i am also planning to move to either edmonton or calgary
just becoz of the reason that these cities are growing up cities hence we ll get more chance to grow up
beside this no tax for self employed
i may be wrong

Hi, yes planning to live in Edmonton have relatives there, but still expecting medicals... may be another few months...

Can you kindly inform about an issue regarding the receipt of PR card. I eventually plan to do the landing and go back (will return after a few months in summers). I will get only two weeks-off from work to do the landing process. Is it possible that the PR card can be received by my relative on my behalf and then courier it to me. Or do I have to be physically present to receive th PR card? Please can you kindly advise on this issue. Many thanks.
