As the subject says, please share your story,
I have been denied a visa before and intending to fill that in the statutory questions in post ITA application.
I intend to preapre a LOE to support my application.
Anyone with similar experience?

What's the context of your previous refusal? You should be okay as long as it's nothing criminal.

A lot of people on this forum have gone ahead to bag their PPRs in spite of their previous visa refusals. As such, I would advice you disclose all cases of your previous refusals with reasons and you would do just fine. They may probably ask you for a shcedule A form.

I applied for a Working Holiday Visa (UK) back in 2006 and was denied, nothing criminal. I didn't bother appealing.
However, I've been to UK more than 5 times since then and other countries as well, so i don't really think it should be a problem either.
Just wanted to know if i should expect delays.
Can I submit the schedule A upfront?

This won't affect your PR application or cause any delays. There is no Schedule A placeholder in the post ITA form so upload that if and when CIC asks for it.

Hi mate,
I was denied uk visa in 2005 and my husband was also denied US visa thrice. When we were submitting post ITA we answered yes to the statutory questions and we were later asked to fill a schedule A . When submitting the schedule A we provided all the visa denial letters and the rest is history. As long as you were not denied on criminal grounds, then you should be fine.
Cheers

Really comforting, however, I don't have the denial letters in my posession.
Is my explanation sufficient?

From explanations so far, you shouldn't have a problem. Especially since you have your refusal letter.

Yes it is. Remember to attach the page that has the refusal stamp to your letter of explanation.

Hi guys. Need your advice. I interviewed as beneficiary to a us dv lottery applicant which was refused back in 2012. Must i answer yes to the statutory question 6d of having being denied a visa before? It confuses me because i wasn't the principal applicant then as such, my name was not on the refusal letter. Any input will be appreciated
