Anyone dealing with Pretoria?

Hi All,

We applied outland through Pretoria- I've been approved as a sponsor (Dec, 2009), and in Feb we received a letter of provisional acceptance from Pretoria saying the interview was waived and they requested 1 additional document. We submitted the final doc (UK police clearance) on Feb 23 and since then...nothing!

I paid the RPRF a few days ago at the advice of an immigration consultant, I figure at least I'm doing something! The receipt and supporting docs have been received by Mississuaga and my partner is going to take everything in to the visa office in Pretoria to let them know tomorrow.

Just wondering if anyone with their file in Pretoria has heard anything lately? Any indication of how long this might take would be great! I'm in Canada, he's in SA, needless to say I'm a little impatient (and obsessivly checking e-cas and the mailbox!).

Hi there!

I am about to send my application to Pretoria. I am Canadian (BC) and both my husband and I live in Zambia (he is Zambian). I am applying to sponsor him and once approved we both plan to move back to BC.

I would love to hear how your process has been. I am so nervous and I'm praying this can happen by August 3 as I have already booked our tickets home.

On the Option C print out for notice of Assessment, did you send an actual Option C or just the regular notice of assessment that comes after you file a tax return.

How many pictures did you send for proof of relationship? I would love to hear anything you can share.

PPR request 10 August '09
landed Sept '09

No interview request
No additional Information request.
Was on edge all the time, so far have only read about one couple that has been called for an interview though she hasnt updated the forum.

Hey, thanks for the update - it's nice to get an idea of the timelines at Pretoria, they started processing our file on Jan 11 so I'm hoping to hear something soon...

Sandrainzambia - we sent loads of photos and other items such as letters addressed to both of us, bills with both our names and tickets from traveling together etc...Probably about 30 to 40 photos in total and make sure to include photos of you guys with each other's friends and families, not just the two of you.

My partner sent in an email enquiry about the status of his file and received a note saying that his file is now with an IO for finalisation. Anyone know what this means? Could we possibly be getting close?

HELLO Everyone

ITs shurem i know that i have not posted anyhting for a while but its better to be late than never.
ok soo..i have been in SA :-*for the past two weeks i came here so that i could attend my husbands interview Interview was on april 21st and happy to say that we have been approved. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HAPPY. .......However they requested that he does his chest Xray and he did that back on february 24th Nothing came yet to Pretoria from narobi where is . the IO said that they would contact him once they recive the medical for him to pick up the visa. IA m bound to be back in toronto on monday and my Hubby will follow....Although i would have loved for him to come with me on that lonmg flight back home...honestly i just want him with me so we can celebrate our 1 year anniversary which is June 06.
