hello,
Have a friend wanted to apply student visa , who is 46 years old , his wife , three kids have to follow him together . Do you know if his age is an issue to get the visa approved ? His goal is getting a Jon after grauduation and apply PR , anyone has similar experience ?

We have seen plenty of mature students here be approved for a study permit. He will need to ensure his studies make sense in light of his previous education and work experience - and also show strong ties to his home country. It may be quite difficult to bring his wife and three children with him while he studies. He will have to show a high bank balance and even then, they may be refused since CIC may feel this shows they have no plans on returning to their home country.

thank you very much , but it is hard for him to separate with the family, and his wife may also apply the student visa too. if both couple applies, do you think the chance is higher?

Chances are lower if they both apply in my opinion. Applying together shows the officers that their intentions are to migrate to Canada. On the other hand if he applies alone chances are higher as having a wife and kids are proof of country ties, things that link him back to his country after his studies in Canada, best of luck
