I guess most of the people discussing in this topic are not British so how did/will you respond/explain/justify the family ties query which often ask by visa officer in student cases?????

Well you try and be as convincing as you can in your SOP, show job offers, property or investments in your home country and just hope against all hope that you would get it.

Yea I got mine. Applied to CHC london,I am a PSW,Applied for ACCA IN LSBF.No interview or medicals.Got mine on 12th July.Would be leaving for Toronto on Tuesday

I am still waiting for the acceptance from uni , they are so lazy in processing and it is making me very worse situation
because classes are going to be started in mid sep.

Hiya i am on psw in uk aswell and i did hnd in IT here and i want to apply for canada student visa? can you please tell me the documents requirements? how much funds do we have to show in our bank account? how old the bank statements should be? also my uncle(distant relative) is in canada, can he not sponser me like can he submit his bank statements to support my study and accommodation? also do i have to take IELTS test to get admission in college? i am kep asking these question to everybody but did not get an explained response? can u please explain me all of this instead of sending me the links to canada embassy coz i have already did that? thnx

Am sorry all you need is on the website, that is and should be your guide.
I recommend you download an application package and do a mock fill, as you do so you would have an idea of what is needed and also have more specific questions to ask.

Its been a while, what's new at your end, have you been able to get an admission and/or apply.

Yesterday made it 7 weeks I sent in my application, now I have mixed feelings, somehow I feel they would have answered me if they were not going to give me, but then I see people who got rejected after longer times in this forums.

School resumes on 6th September with Orientation and classes on 7th.

Any ideas, should I mail or still wait?

Well that seems to be over the time limit set by CHC .
Before granting a visa they always request medical of the applicant
Now send the application inquiry to embassy might they gonna respond you or call them on the number of local CHC contact

My school is granting me admission for Jan/2012 intake so i m waiting to apply for that session.

Not necessarily, on there website it says 8 to 10 weeks. I would see how next week goes
