Hi
I am a student applying from South Africa. I applied Feb 22 , had an Interview on the 8th of March and since then has been quite . No news from the visa office?

Anyone had experience there?

I applied from Nigeria though,but I think they maybe doing some background checks before medical instruction is sent to you. Be patient Bro.
 
Thanks, I am Nigerian but resident in SA. I guessed it is a backgroung check being done. What do you advice I do about my May registration?

Are you in Canada already?
 
My wife applied online for student permit since April 3rd no news, she lives in Namibia and I think South Africa office should be responsible
 
I applied in Zim in June and 3 weeks later I got the medical email. And I know applications from here are actually sent to SA for reviewing and processing. So maybe you can try send the embassy a friendly email just asking how far with your application. It'll never hurt to ask as I see many people think that simply asking them "when to roughly expect a response" will be the downfall of ones application.
