Hello Everyone,

We've been in Canada since 2017 and applied for PR under CEC on 13 Feb 2020. All paperwork was complete (medical, biometrics, police checks, etc.). We were given 13 Aug 2020 for decision day but like everyone else, have no further updates.

Did anyone apply during the same time period and receive an update lately?

Our work permit is going to expire in Jan.2021 and my employer is scrambling to have it renewed now. Our landlord has given us notice to vacate by the same date so good luck to us getting a house with implied status *insert facepalm*

Regards,

Aziz

Same here, eligibility and everything done and now they are still working. God knows which idiot is working on our File. Does IRCC holds any accountability or for everything they have pandemic excuse as if they were super efficient before March 15 2020

at least they could have called people whose biometrics appointments were cancelled first...
Do you think they would show that level of judgement . Some group of people after wasting 7 months must under pressure from applicants asked staff to start calling applicants. If they had to call what is the purpose of including mail IDs in application. Common sense prevails.

But I am convinced that governments Bodies across continents operate the way they want to and they lack accountability.

At this stage what best we can do is that we just share our concerns wth others and I am posting with no offenses to those who start responding to such posts in the following manner-
who asked to apply and you can stay where you are
they Are doing best in midst of pandemic

My timeline is very much COVD-19'd and was going smoothly until my biometrics appointment was cancelled in March. I finally got my golden call from SC this week to book my appointment, so hoping everything is back on track once they are done in November.

I'm seeing PR approvals pop up all over the place so things seem to be moving again.

With their pace and style of working, they may be doing commendable job but for people waiting for over 9 or 10 months they are still not been able to meet expectations or below par job.
Covid has slowed down things (standard response always)

I am speechless to the Ottawa VO's pace. Mine was approved in August BUT till now I am still waiting for the COPR. I even saw the COPR number on GCMS notes. I urgently need the status as I am going to apply schools (applications due in coming Dec or Jan) for next Fall. Well what can I say, just gotta wait and one day Ottawa VO "bless" us.
