Oh so it's 200$/person, knowing that I paid 100$/person (doctor fees only). Please let me know once your documents leave Paris and when your e-cas status updates. It seems we have similar timings did you notice? Goodluck for you man. By the way, where are you going to settle, in Montreal? and where precisely? St-Laurent where are Lebanese settle at first :) ? and did you search for a job or not yet?

P.S. Do you think once they arrive to Canada your e-cas status will change? or they told you so at the hospital/doctor?

they didnt tell me such thing .. I interpreted it :P, since they told us in AUH that the doctor in Paris makes the decision for our med's and then he send them to Canada.
Im a university student and not the principal applicant. We would settle in montreal for sure, but Im not sure where. My father would like to live with europeans rather than arabs and lebo's. We havent decided yet.. but I will make sure to keep you updated in all domains ..
btw the ecas isnot working today !!

Well, we neither my wife and I wouldn't want to live with arabs/Lebanese and prefer to live next to Europeans... Once we land there and maybe after the 1st year we will see.

The link of ecas: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas is working, but when you fill the info and submit, it takes so long then it opened and guess what......in process :P as usual!! When you click on "in process" I get "We started processing your application on December 2, 2008", the date I received the AOR last year...

Whenever you got update like the document left Paris or anything else, please keep me updated :) we will post what we have as news here since our timings are similar, and hopefully we will travel to Canada very soon...

hey tony .. I've heard from people who are now Canadians that after the med's it takes 5-6 month !!!!!!!!! Is that true? have you heard something like that ?!?!
If anybody know anything concerning the average processing time for the med's I will be thankfull to hear from him/her !

Hello ka3far,

Well that was written on the official Canada document I got (the one asking you to do the medical test) that it needs at least 6 month. But I don't think it's true and 100% applicable. For instance, my friend 2 years ago, got his Visa after 1 month from med test... That was fast thought, but I think they were doing faster processing because it was directly after the israeli war on Lebanon in 2006. And a relative got the Visa in 3 month after the meds. So I think 3 month is logic. If others can confirm this it would be great...

Any news regarding the meds in Paris? are they still there?

Dear Tony..
I have previously told you that I can only track them till paris !! :'(. I dont know anything concerning my med's now! I do also have a friend that only took him only 28 days after they recieved his med's to request the passport ! Lets pray and wait :P the best thing we can do !

Dear Ka3far...

Exactly, all what we can do now is pray and I'm sure it will come in the right time. I have a feeling they will send us passport requests maximum by mid February. Maybe by end of January nobody knows... Nchalla!

We will keep updating each other on any news. I passed by the post today I have nothing new.

Wish you all the best my friend!

mabrooooookkkk :D !!!
walla nbasatellak !!! you gave me some hope !! hope you live the life you wish for .. w 3a 2bel 3andy:)
Did they call you ? cause 24 was sunday! and did the ecas change?

Thanks Ka3far!!! Yalla nchalla 3a 2belak ya man! They didn't call me, but the Damascus embassy opens on Sunday (it's a regular working day) so they just sent me an email (and it was in my junk folder, so make sure you check the junk as well!) that I have to submit my passports and I have only 30 days to do so. I can however submit them to the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon instead of going to Damascus. I'm submitting my passports today so most probably I will get them back in 10-14 days max with the VISA stamped! Khayyyy really this is relieving!!! :D

No update in the eCas however... don't need it anymore anyways :D

Re: Anyone applied from Syria(Damascus) office and got medical request with new

Tony; sorry dude but a small question, did your E-Cas changed to Medicals Received or not even posted ??

Hello Mike! No not even posted! It stills "We started processing your application on ..." nothing regarding Medical tests...this is strange thought, I don't know how accurate that system is. So keep on checking your email (the email you wrote on your main application) and watch out the junk folders in case. Expect an update very soon since that's what happened with me! Update us once you get any news :)

Well you don't know maybe they do update yours! But expect something within 1 week I think by email... :)

thanks for the good news.. i will keep checking the email !!
so i guess 3 weeks later i should recieve an email from them ! cause im 3 weeks late from you ..

Most probably. Today I passed by the Canadian Embassy (Lebanon) and put my passports there (me and my wife), and they told me it might take between 2 and 8 weeks to get the VISA. But many people I know got it in 2 weeks. They gave us the option to send it directly to Damascus, but I preferred to keep it in Lebanon since I live here. So it's the final step now :D

Let me know when you get any update!
