Hi guys, my student visa timeline is
1. Submitted application on 19th October
2. Gave biometrics on 23rd October
3. Medicals was updated on 29th October
4. Then only update is processing application
5. Today 11 November, my dad received a call from Canadian embassy verifying my details and about his job and tenure at his company. They also asked whether I received visa to which he replied no. (I don't know why they would ask such a question)
Still waiting. However, the 20th calendar day after my biometrics is tomorrow 12th November.

Eventually, I shifted my focus on to the Post Graduate Certificate Course relevant to my field of interest and after studying the curriculum of available courses, i opted for " Applied Electrical Motion and Control Management " from Conestoga College for January, 2020 Intake, which was approved with in a week of application submission.

Reason for Rejection :
1. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
2. Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability, and/or your future prospects and plans.
After getting the first rejection, i took my time to redraft the SOP from scratch putting in as much relevant points to get my future plans clearly conveyed to the VISA Officer, relevancy of the course for the future growth and to establish my connection to my homeland. I got professional help this time around to draft the SOP, but all the relevant points and the future plans was given by me, which they drafted professionally in the SOP format.

I regularly visit this forum and it has really helped me out with the procedures and most importantly in getting to know what a VISA officer is looking for while review a SOP. It is just that i have registered today so as to put out this information. This is the least i could have done, i am quite sure this would be of some use to others out here, as how others posts were for me.
They have just started reviewing my eligibility, I didn't get any email notification but I was able to see the update in my GCKey account. Hopefully it won't take them more than 2 days to finalize this review and give a final decision.

Sorry bro that sucks. I don't know if they're overwhelmed with cases or if your embassy is taking longer to finish the review, which might cause such delays. Anyways, hang in there, you'll hear the final verdict soon, hopefully by the end of this week.Mine is under eligibility review since 29th Oct
