Anybody received a Ghost Update for Study Permit applications recently?

Hello,

My Study Permit application current status on MyAccount Home page yesterday was updated for a while saying ‘Application/profile updated’ but when I opened the application it said Status is unavailable.I initially thought there was some glitch from the maintenance. After a while when I rechecked the Current Status returned to what it was earlier ‘Submitted’ with Medical passed and review of eligibility started. After checking this forum I found out that it was a ghost update.

Has anybody else received a similar ghost update recently?

PS: I applied on 27th May in SDS category online from India. I have submitted all the documents with GIC but biometrics is pending so I fall under 2 stage processing.

Eligibility review has started on 16th July.. There wasn’t any change in the application yesterday. Just the ghost update

I didn't face your kinda situation.
My application status has been only SUBMITTED.

My application status is submitted. But the same day I submitted my application update mail came. And it was stated that background is in check. The status is still submitted. It means they already processing application or just automatic update of background check?

Today i experienced same thing but i didnt noticed any changes on my profile. Hope coming days there might be a change.

This happened to me as well on the 20th of July when I cleared my medicals. After which there have been no changes/ updates

Just like you, my SDS application is complete with all documents except biometrics and submitted on 4th June.

I applied on 5th June. Medical cleared 22nd july. Biometrics 4th Aug.
It happened to me on 22nd July and 4th aug due to the obvious reasons and those were the changes in application. But now it has happened to me twice in last two days but no update.

I have this strange theory that all the applications waiting for AIP since March to May have their files at Ottawa.. And unlike Edmonton, Ottawa hasn’t been following the process of sending AIPs.. This is really frustrating..
