Hi,

My situation is slightly different. I haven't applied for my Work permit extension and will be applying for Canadian PR and then with the help of AOR will be applying for WP extension.
So Work extension confirmation letter is not available in my case as of now. What other document can i produce??

Thanks
Ravi

Hey Ravi, as per your previous posts I think you still have valid work permit until Jan 2016. So you can directly go to "BLS international" and apply for your PCC. You don't need 6 months valid WP, see my previous post #1 option.

I dont see anything with getting PCC from Indian embassy and 6 month validity of your workpermit.
I would say you go ahead and submit your application for PCC. In the website its clearly says if you are outside India you must get the PCC from the respective Indian embassy from where your are.

Hi All,

Just to get confirmation about WP valid less than 6 months, i wrote to Consulate and got below response

infosec <infosec@cgitoronto.ca>

Dear ****,

You can apply for PCC with your current work permit. Please go ahead and submit at the BLS Centre.

Thanks...I misread your post. Will go ahead and apply for my PCC

I know this response is irrelevant now to the ones who faced this issue but still i would like to go ahead and post my recent experience to benefit who might be in a similar situation. i was allowed to apply for PCC even though my work permit was valid for less than 5 months. i got the PCC within a week. :-)

Yes, you're true... Its not really mandatory that you need a valid work permit... I have applied for pcc when my work permit was valid for less than 3 months and got the pcc in 10 days...

Also, my friend applied for pcc when he was in implied status (ie, expired work permit) and got the pcc approximately in same time of mine. If you have no longer valid WP then provide Expired Work permit, Renewal confirmation letters from employer (as additional document) along with all other mandatory docs...

So, no worries guys Cheesy Grin

Also, read "Goda's" post in the first page, which has complete information.

How much time would it take to get PCC after applying for it in Toronto BLS?

Ideally you should get it within 14 working days. Do it quickly as its year ending and all would be planning for vacation.

Hi

I just did it in October 2016 from BLS Toronto and got it in exactly two weeks....for me and my spouse!

Check out this link for details: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pcc-bls-toronto-indian-passport-t459074.0.html;msg5541598#msg5541598

Thanks..

Fill the following forms per applicant.
1. 1 copy of police clearance certificate
2. 3 copies of police reference for me
3. 1 copy of checklist.
4. Xerox of First , last and all Visa and stamped pages of the current passport. If you have a new passport without any stamps or visas then only the first and last page and no pages from the old passport.
5. Xerox of the work permit.
6. Photos as per specs mentioned on bls Site.
7. Pay the money while submitting the app and do it in person. Having their representative visit and collect your docs will just add up the processing days.

Hope this helps.
