Today my status changed to Decision Made!! This happened in the last couple of hours only.
Also, is it normal/standard for this line to be there:
The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Thanks mni.

I am not planning to go there immediately. I need some time to wrap a few things here (loans etc) and also some time to get all my finances together. Meanwhile i will apply for jobs online (though there is not much hope there) and also hope to complete preparation for Canadian Securities Certificate.
I am thinking of landing there by May/June one way or other.

Thanks KG. Below i am pasting my experience at the DMP, from two pages back:

We went to the Elbit Diagnostics Lab in the New Indian Express building, close to Infantry road. There are only two in Bangalore. This one and one in Rajajinagar. Since this one was closer for us, we went here. The address given in the med requests packet is an old one though. Elbit has moved to the New Indian Express building now from Infantry road.

When we booked the appointment, they said it will take three hours for the entire process.

You need to take:
Photocopies of all the valid passports (first and last page only, even though the packet says "all pages")
2 passport sized photos of each person (preferably from same negative used for application)
Passports
Forms sent by CHC
Any other related docs about prescription drugs you may be taking currently.

With all the above, following is what you'll need to do:
You'll need to sign a couple of forms at the Lab first and also paste the photos.
Next, you'll be given prescription slips for each member.
Take a token and pay the fee for the tests. They accept debit cards.
Submit blood and urine samples.
Get X Ray done.
Consult the doctor for a physical examination. First they will note your weight and height and do an eyesight test. Then the doc will examine you. Pay the doctor's consultation fee there (CASH ONLY: 1900/- for adult, 500/- for child less than 6 yrs old) The doc did some simple tests like follow the finger, move your limbs etc.
In case you have a tattoo, the doc will prescribe three more blood tests to check for liver function. You just need to pay the fee for that and give the receipt at the lab.
Once done, you need to go back to the x ray lab and give them back one of the forms they would have given you at the beginning.

That's it. You are done. It took us three hours exactly and that included their lunch break.

The lab, it seems, handles all Canadian and Australian medicals. So the process is quite streamlined and the staff is also very helpful.

Oh and they dont work on weekends though.

Hope that helps!

Sukhija,
Thanks for sharing this.

One question...Did DMP office tell you when they will be sending out the Medical Reports and to where (New Delhi or Ottawa?)

Thanks.

Hi Guys,
which one is a good institute to learn french ? please provide address and contact details.

Syed

Hi Syed,

I'm a bit confused; Are you asking for an institute in Bangalore or Buffalo?
For Bangalore, Alliance Franchise is the best. It's located in Vasanth Nagar, Close to Guru Nanak Bhavan, Cunningham Road Cross. You may search on the net as well.
All the best

Did Elbit asked you where you wanted to send medicals to - Ottawa or ND?
Also, did they promised a tracking number for courier?

Thanks.

The status still shows as In Process only. I think next stage for status is Decision Made only, and that still is some time away.
