Hi,

I am an applicant reside in PEI and it's been an year since I applied last April 2018.

I haven't heard back from IRCC since last June 2018 which was In Process on E-cas and it's confirmed that my file is processed in the IRCC office, Halifax because there is no open IRCC office in PEI.

Checked this website: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/CeremonySearch/search-recherche-eng.aspx#resultList

and figured there will be the ceremony/oath in a few days in Halifax but I haven't been invited to the test/interview ever since.

Just wondering why it's taking so long... Anybody from PEI and experienced the similar problems as mine?
Please share if your office is/was in Halifax.

FYI, I'm in Charlottetown, it would be awful to drive between those two provinces for the test and ceremony.

Have you had any progress? I applied in Nov. 2018 from PEI & things definitely seem to be slow moving:(

Yes, I took the test and received the citizenship last April 2019. Since it was a temporary office, the test and ceremony happened within a week at one time so there was no another waiting time to attend the ceremony.

You can find their temporary offices here and guess when will be your turn:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/offices/find-temporary-offices.html

As far as I know, those temporary offices are opening between April and October due to the bad weather in PEI during the winter. So you can expect to be summoned next April if you are still waiting for the invitation.

Cheers!
