I got a email for CHC today for medical. Does it mean i am one step closer to visa now

Hello,
medical doesn't mean that you are step closer.
it is just a procedure. so don't think like that. check
on there website it is written don't make any assumption until and unless you got your study permit.
 
CHC has sent an email with the form IMM1017 attached for the medicals. Will they also send my passport back to me for resubmitting along with the medical report.

This means, you are approved for your first step. So many cases before medical got rejection. SO be happy for now and congrats.
 
@worldofsanal023 I have given my medical tests on Staturday 16th Feb at Fortis hospital Bangalore. They told me it takes 4 days for them to send the report to the CHC. Waiting for the results. Finger crossed.

If I do medical in advance in the time of application submision do I have to do it again?
 
No. You need not do it again
 
How many more days it should take for me....

Hello Poovannact,

I also received medical request via email and I performed my medicals on 13th feb. Did you have original passport while doing medicals, or have cic dispached your pasport to you for medicals. In my case the passport is still in delhi but i have completed medicals and it is said that original passport is required while submitting the medical reports online. After hearing my case and after lot of confusion the doctor viewed my citizenship certificate and uploaded the medical reports just today. will this work? and will the status change after medical is submitted and after how much time after the reports are submitted? I am really confused

I didn't have the passport while doing the medical examination. Generally it is not required if it is retained by the CIC. But valid photo id card needs to be shown to the panel physician for your identification. Hope you have done it. I heard it takes 48 hours for the hospital to send it to CIC. Status will change only if the CIC dispatches your passport.

@ upenpatel .. My IELTS is waived of because I had the MS degree from UK.

Thanks poovannact for the information. That makes me a relieved man. And how can we know that the medical is submitted or received by CIC? Did you get any confirmation mail or anything such?

I submitted my application to VFS Dhaka, for study permit on 14th feb 2013 for may 2013 in Humber College (2 years diploma, Business-Accounting).
Tracker saying application received on 19th feb 2013 in Singapore. in progress...What is the possible message to be said next by tracker?

My father sponsoring me both for study and accommodation in Canada...

1. Total cost for two years is around CAD $ 25000 for study, already paid CAD $6400 from Bangladesh (1st semester)
2. In fathers a/c balance is around CAD$ 50000, Fixed asset Around CAD $ 26,000,000. My mother is also Government employee.
3. In personal a/c around CAD $ 6000, I am Employed in a multinational company.
4. IELTS 6.
