Hello All,

Planning to buy a new SUV here in USA before soft landing and looking for a SUV that I can bring to Canada without modification. Any recommendations?

Following.. I recently got a 2018 Odyssey without thinking much about these things.! Hopefully it doesn't cost a lot.

Take heart in the fact that in most cases, even if modifications are required, it’s still a significant savings buying a a vehicle in the US than the equivalent in Canada. New cars are, for the most part, easily changed over. Avoid any used vehicles with salvage titles, as they are not admissible...ever. And check the warranty conditions with the manufacturer. There are cases where manufacturers won’t (or at least that’s what they threaten) honour the warranty (although that seems to be more for Canadians going to the US and buyin a vehicle to bring back).

1. Interesting the MSRP for 2018 LX Odyssey in the US is 29900 (38171 Canadian) while the listed MSRP in Canada is 34890 looks like you would save money buying in Canada.

Did you consider taxes? In USA I will pay 6% in my state while in Canada 15%+.
