My Thai wife is set to arrive to Canada (Quebec) in 2 weeks. In the past month, she has dealt with a mild sinusitis and has been taking precription drugs to fight it. I'm now starting to worry that it might not be completely cured after she arrives to Canada.
Since she will apply for PR inland and won't have public health insurance before 10 months, we're currently shopping for a private travel insurance. Most insurance classify sinusitis as a pre-existing condition and won't cover it if it occured already in the last 3, 6 or 12 months. But I have found a few companies that consider it to be a minor infection and that will cover it for free. I just haven't found any of those insurance policy available in Canada so far. Anybody knows if it exists?
