I am from Jamaica and i too got accepted at humber college. i applied for study permit 3 weeks ago.

which course u got accepted for?....i got an email from the embassy today ..but it was becuz my application fee ( bank draft) had a problem ..the bank put in in US instead of Cdn...now i have to get that clarify ...Can u also say how much proof of funds u showed

Hi Caribbean people. It seems like yesterday since I was asking all those questions. I am from Jamaica and in Canada since August. Hope it works out for you all. Ravij you have to show enough funds to cover your tuition+10000 for living expenses+books. If you show enough for 1 year "all other things equal" then you will be fine. Your application will be delayed though this much I can say because once they have to ask you for something that slows down the process. I got my visa in three weeks, no interview, no questions asked. Good luck.

hey haley thnks for replying ...my uncle is sponsoring me...i paid the first year fee of $12,200 ..so i have applied showing the receipt and his bank statement is showing $27,000 cdn..and assets valuing abt $150,000cdn...i also sent in my bank draft yesterday so they shud recieve it tom...DId u have to do a medical ?

No medical for Jamaicans applying for study permit, not sure for your country.
