If you want the honest truth, sadly anything is possible until you receive the PR itself. As CIC is very unpredictable I won't be too comfortable until I receive the PR.

I don't believe anyone on this board has reported it. And, frankly, although I agree that it's possible at any other stage, I don't really see why CIC would ask for money it was just going to have to turn around. It would only make sense to ask for it only after all other requirements were passed. BUT I don't have any inside knowledge of this, and of course anything is possible with CIC.

There are atleast 2 people who have been Rejected after Decision Made in ECAS :(

We've actually had 2-3 people on this forum who received their PR visa and were then contacted by CIC who told them it was canceled. Anything is possible.

If you read the letter that came with the RPRF you would note:

This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.

So the application itself is OK unless you happen to fail the security/criminal/medical which I imagine is quite rare. Even so, I also imagine if there were any questions about a potential security risk they would schedule an interview.

So overall a good sign I would suggest.

:o really? Any details about the cancel reasons?

And you can land, have permanent residence, and get it canceled for certain reasons. You can be a citizen and have your citizenship canceled. You can be born in Canada and have Canadian parents and have your Canadian citizenship revoked if you have another citizenship as well and they think you're a terrorist. But all of this is exceptionally unlikely.

I got a request to pay the RPRF on August 25th and I immediately started searching through this forum (quite the task!) to see if any members got rejected after being asked to pay this fee, I searched for EE applicants specifically.
I could not find any, although I may have missed one or two threads as there are just so many! As the request letter says, there are still some clearance processes ongoing with our applications but in all honesty I think it would be odd to be asked to pay it just to be rejected and refunded later. The two members that were rejected after DM had pay the fee in advanced when they submitted their application so it is hard to guess whether CIC would have asked them for it regardless and then reject them or not.

I am trying to stay positive though, and I have a feeling that this week is the week for many of us to see further movement in our application :).
Those who were requested to pay the RPRF in August please let's keep each other updated on how our applications evolve.

All the best!!

I didnt find any rejecctions after RPRF request savve for one..She got rejecction within 24 hrs of RPRF request.
HOW LONG TO PPR now ??

That's a good question! Average time is 10-12 days after PPR for some of the members I could keep track of. Some have waited way longer than that but honestly, with our time lines I don't think it will be any longer than 2 weeks. We are due to DM already!!

Yep ..I hope so ..
I am back in India and my families TRV is stuck at NDVO for last 30 days because of PR in process. I am flying back on 17 September . Hope we get PPR by Tuesday evening after CIC opens .
The wait is agonizing as we cant fly back into Canada for my new job.
CIC is really difficult sometimes

Yes, Thats something we all can agree with ...
"CIC get really difficult sometimes ! "

there might be about 2% people who still get rejected after an RPRF request . I agree that the probably is very low. however, the chance of you being in that 2% or not is exactly 50%!
:-\ I would suggest you must relax and not think about this for a while and you'll be absolutely fine!
