Any Re-issue of Indian Passport Experiences through BLS/Vancouver

Hello Everyone,

My passport is expiring in April 2014. My PR file is under process and also I need renew my Work permit (current work permit valid until April 2014)
I was wondering if CGI Vancouver is quick in re-issuing the passports? I applied on December 27th 2013 and still waiting application status shows Processing at Consulate General
I saw online BLS says it takes 4 to 6 weeks for re-issue.

Anyone with recent experience, please share your timeline and experience.

hi,
I did mine last November (2013)..it took 8 full weeks for me, as my previous passport was issued in India...I guess they deliver fast if your current passport was issued in Vancouver..

Thank you, my previous passport also issued from India so hopefully I will receive my new passport by end of Feb.

i applied mine Brampton office got in 40 to 45 days and its 10years validity
