Hi,

I got additional points post new guidelines from CIC, and I am currently waiting for a nomination from ONIP too.

If as per the new points I get nomination directly from CIC after the next cutoff, what next steps I need to take from ONIP perspective?

Please advise.
did you change any of your details to get the new points reflected?

Yes I update the profile with the employment details under work history and answered applicable questions, and submitted the profile post changes.

After 24 hours or so new points will be added.

I took my medical on 31st October and filled my application on 5th. My medical still says Not needed at this time. Is it normal? I have seen people getting medical approved in 3 days

Hey all,

I have a question regarding the new updated EE system: I am currently working in Canada under a Working Holiday Visa (International Experience Canada) I've had this job for a year now, and my occupation is NOC B. Am I eligible to get 50 more points? (I think it is considered a LMIA-exemption)

thanks for your answers :)

If you take a look at this list, you will understand that medicals are set to "Passed" relatively slowly for CEC applicants. I am not very sure as to why this is the case though. This might be happening because the DMPs in Canada upload the results to e-medical rather slowly.

You are but here is the catch, you have to have an "offer of continuous full-time employment for a total duration of at least one year from the day on which a permanent resident visa is issued"

http://www.gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2016/2016-11-12/html/notice-avis-eng.php#na1

In other words, you have to work at that job for a full year AFTER receiving your PR.

Cheers ;)

I would because I'm stil working for that employer, and for an indeterminate period, bu anyway I did some more research (and it's not so clear on cic) and immigrants under IEC, even LMIA-exempts, do not qualify for more points for valid job offer, from what I understand...

Qualifying offer of arranged employment
(2) A qualifying offer of employment is one of the following:
(a) an arranged employment as defined in subsection 82(1) of the Regulations, if
(iii) the foreign national holds a valid work permit issued under the circumstances described in paragraph 204(a) or (c) or section 205 of the Regulations, the offer is made by an employer who is specified on the work permit and the foreign national works for that employer and has accumulated at least one year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, over a continuous period of work for that employer;

I would suggest looking for those paragraphs to see if IEC falls into arranged employment.

Edit: Did the homework for you: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/codes.asp - Section 205 - Code C21

Cheers ;)

thanks a lot man, that's what i found too, but my IEC work permit doesn't have the name of my employer on it, so it won't be enough for me to count a valid job offer :)
thanks again!

Hello,

I have a question regarding the proof of work experience for CEC or FSW:

In total I have one-year of work experience in Canada (none outside)

This gives me 483 CRS points, and I would theoretically be eligible for an ITA, but I don't want to apply now, in case I don't have enough time to get my T4 and NOA for 2016 (I would have to wait until end-February, after tax-return, to get those)

Do any of you know if they automatically ask for T4s and NOAs, or if pay stubs (and reference letter of cours) will suffice thru CEC or FSW?

Thank you all

Only reference letter is mandatory. Everything else you're able to provide is an added plus.

Cheers :)
