Hi,

My husband and I have received our PRs stamped on passport and must land before 1st July 2012.
I am 4mths pregnant now and am due in August.
Is there any possibility of notifying the visa office to get an extension on the landing date,so that I can have the baby here in India and then have him/her added to our file, and then all of us land together to validate the PR?
Am I too short on time?Is there even a possibility of doing that?

Pls help guys...

I think it would be much better if you had the baby in Canada. He would be Canadian right away. What would probably make his life a lot easier in the future.

You cannot extend the landing date. Unfortunately it's not possible.

The baby will be covered by health insurance as soon as it's born. Whether the pregnancy is covered depends on which province you land in and how far in advance of the delivery you land. It doesn't matter that the baby wasn't mentioned since it hasn't been born yet.
