Current Status : Eligibility Review

PhD in Cellular and molecular biology for winter 2021 semester
DLI is in Quebec
Applied on October 17, 2020
Biometrics on December 8, 2020
Medical passed on December 21, 2020
Currently under eligibility review and background check

Waiting for the decision since then. My DLI allows me to enroll until March 2021 for winter semester, provided my study permit is approved.

PhD applicant for Québec o/
Started winter term online.
Lab work required, so hopefully I'll be off to Canada soon...

timeline:
Applied for student visa on 11 november (online application - from Brazil)
biometrics asked on 18 november
upfront medical exam.
medical exam approved on 14 january
biometrics given on january 18, approved on the same day (VACs were closed until mid december)
it says "final decision - your application was approved"
But still says that they're reviewing my eligibility and back ground check (??)
Got PPR (passport request) 28 january
sent passport to VAC 29 january

Congratulations! Even, I have been admitted in a institution in Quebec for PhD. Your visa timelines looks good, and they processed it very fast. I am waiting for the decision since my medical update on December 21.
