If you need points for a FSW application, one way is to study French to the point that you could pass some kind of test to a basic skill level. If it's easy for you to learn languages, it might be a good way to get more points but still, you should take some kind of intensive course, not just dabble in it yourself.
The only ways to immigrate without a job offer is FSW if you are on the 38 list, AINP if you are on a H1B visa for a year or QSW if you speak french.
