GCMS will be faster our processing or not?If not so why we order for GCMS.If anybody send message to VO for specific inquiry then they r replying so no need GCMS.

GCMS do not make your processing more faster. However, in some cases when the processing time is too far off or unpredictable such as your ECAS status is RBVO and you are waiting for MR more than 1 year without any update from VO or you are received interview request form from CHC and you want to know which point do they want you to clarify or you want to have a better prepare for the interview. At that time you need to order GCMS.

Most of the time, Visa office would not reply your enquiry email or fax or call.even If they reply your email, their email don't have so much detail info about your case like GCMS.

If you want to know hidden secrets about your file always order GCMS. It won't delay or speed up the process but you will know solid facts about your file like

1) Date (BFD) when processing was begun or will begin and the next date your file will be reviewed.

2) Eligibility review if you are eligible means you score at least 67 points and your job duties match with those on HRSDC website.

3) Any concerns about proof of funds, education, adaptability, work experience, travel history etc

4) Back ground / security checks at what stage they are

5) Any verification required

And a lot more. I would recommend any one who has at least received PER should go for CAIPS / GCMS. Thanks

As per your guideline I have order CAIPS / GCMS with the help of my friend living in Canada, I hope to hear some information in 30 days... Will it be a problem as I indicate my blood relative in my application while filing CAIPS / GCMS note by my friend? If I am not in process up till now(RBVO), will it be really help full? In you earlier massage you said let file come to in-process then ask for CAIPS / GCMS note. Thanks again for you help… :)

It won't be a problem if you mentioned him as your blood relative and not your friend who is ordering GCMS for you. You will at least be able to see BFD (bring forward date) when your case will go in process. You will also be able to see if any security / back ground checks are started or completed and any concerns about your proof of fund, adaptability, eligibility, work experience , etc. Thanks

Dear All!

One thing you will see in your CAIPS / GCMS is security screening. I just found on the web what is security screening and what they do.

You can be asked to await further checks while your security is pending. Have a look. Thanks

Security Screening

What is security screening?

Security screening is a process by which the name of a security clearance applicant is verified against CSIS databases to determine whether the applicant is mentioned in relation to threat-related activities. Depending on the level or category of security clearance required, security screening can also involve interviewing the applicant's friends, neighbours and employers, consulting with local police, and possibly interviewing the applicant.

What is the purpose of security screening?

The purpose of security screening is to prevent anyone of security concern from gaining access to sensitive government assets, locations or information, and to prevent non-Canadians who pose security concerns or risks from entering Canada or receiving permanent residence in the country.

Who must undergo the security screening process?

Federal public service employees, members of the Armed Forces and persons under contract to a government department who, in the performance of their duties, have access to classified government assets or information, as well as people who work at sensitive sites such as airports, the Parliamentary Precinct and nuclear power stations, are required to hold a security clearance. Non-Canadians who apply for permanent residency or refugee status must also undergo security screening. Security assessments fall into the following program categories: Government Screening, Sensitive Sites Screening, Foreign Screening, Immigration and Citizenship Screening, and Refugee Claimant Screening. Trust me we are left out of their system and they have left us in the cold to hang high and dry. Everyone's address gets back , then why not ours. I am sure they are not updating their system for so long, nor is the visa officer accesssing our files and dooing soem work for more then two months . It additionally only means we shall not come to know of any changes in our status , as we seem to be out of the IT system. I cant understand. :( >:( >:( >:(
