Any one who filed TRV at buffalo during June-July 2011?

I got a standard reply.

"You application is under process. We are unable to provide specific status. If you need your passport, we can return it without the Visa."

Not very helpful. No trackign info on the XpressPost envelopes. I am think of waiting until Tue and then reschedule my trip. Some change fee involved for the tickets, but I am helpless here.

Happy news, Guys.. i got my passport back with VISA stamped. Here are my dates:

TRV filed (sent the documents to New York) - 20/07/2011
Received the passport back - 19/08/2011
Work permit based TRV - Yes.

I wish all others waiting for passport should get theirs back soon...

I am not sure, Vishnu. The attorney did it for me. But the VISA in my passport says it was issued in "NY". Not sure if it is buffalo or NY city.

My application was received at Fort Erie on July 11th, cheque was cashed on July 29th, and still no response

No, you won't receive any type of confirmation, unless you sent your documents through XpressPost, then you can track your application and see if it was delivered or not. Also, after the application exceeds the normal times of delivery, then you can email them and see what's happening.
My advice is to be patient. I've been waiting for 42 days and my application is still in process, and I have a flight

my package arrived Fort Erie on July 7
it is now 46 days....

I had to re-schedule my flight on Aug 19 to Sept 16, it costed me $400
I really don't know what to say if I still don't receive it on Sept 16....

Hi everyone~
I have the same situation here~
my application was received by buffalo office at July 11 (I sent at 5th...)~ and still waiting for my pp back~
and i sent the email to the counselor twice and got the same email just told me if i want my pp back then they can send it without visa...........(wt's the point....)
then i have to delay all my travel schedule with my son and husband twice......
mine is single TRV based on study permit~ with canada post~

My application was received by Fort Erie on July 28, I send a bank draft so how would I know when my money is cashed...is there a way to know when my application was received by Buffalo ???
