I've participated in litigation in a number of contexts. At the present time I'm serving as an expert witness in a patent litigation case plus my own immigration case: my FSW denial is in the application stage (we've submitted, the government has to respond by the end of the month. Today I noticed a "big gun" has been assigned to the case, so clearly it's caught someone's attention. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.)
I can at least say one thing for immigration litigation: it has a timetable - something I haven't seen in dealings with CIC. The visa office managed to answer the Rule 9 request in two weeks time (and on a Sunday, no less) which seems to be something close to lightning speed for anything else they've done on my file ever.
