Hi Ritu
Good to hear about your progress. I got PPR after a week of "medical results received" ecas status. And hey guess what my reason of moving is parents as well. Good luck for rest of the process. Cheers
Ashb

Thanks Ash....Can I ask you, how did you get your PPR and how did you submit and collect it?

Best wishes always.

I will continue living in Australia, and will get my wife here after she completes her nursing in Canada. There is a good difference in the wages and there will be a shock for people who are moving from Australia. Things cost almost same as Australia. Cars are lot cheaper in Canada ( aussies rip off in cars segment ). Connectivity from Toronto downtown to other suburbs is a mess as compared to connectivity from Sydney to other suburbs. Canadian highways are much better than Australian highways.

Canada on other hand is very beautiful and makes you feel at home( specially for indian's and pakistani's ). Parents can socialize and won't feel secluded. With recent changes to Australian immigration rules where getting PR has become very hard, it is lot better for people without Australian PR to move to Canada.

Hi 2Good2BTrue,

Congratulations on ecas update. Did you get your interview waived already? Any idea how long it will take from here on till visa?
My file transfer date is May 31st 2012, so hopefully I'll see an ecas update soon.

Did someone use prepaid self addressed postal premium service for getting passport back?

thanks in advance..

Well said Harry,

But if we compare Aus Vs Canada then I think we should compare the cities. As such both countries are great. If you are going from Sydney then you can feel the difference. It depends that which part of Aus you are comparing Ca with.

@ Jojiao And Kets:-

This question is little personal but still I want to tell you guys, we want to go to Canada as my son and my parents are in India, if I will get PR for Canada then my son will be joining us soon as PR too and Canada's visa processing is much faster and little expensive for parents visa...

I hope it will help you to understand my thoughts.

good luck,
Ritu
