Dear moosejaw,

I saw your time line and feel that you wait for almost 1.5 years for medical request.

Is this normal time?

Because somebody told me it takes about 6 to 8 months to get MR after AOR.

Nothing is predictable. it very s person to person file to file.
Avr time at LVO for finalizing of 80 percent of pnp files is 29 months .
From receiving file to issuing COPR.

Advice Please​

My wife is 6 weeks pregnant as we are waiting for passports request stage, my questions are follows:

1). I am principal applicant so, can I visit to Canada for 15/20 days to inform them as a landed immigrant and apply for permanent resident card then come back to London?
2). If I inform CIC after receiving the permanent residence card, what options are open for my wife and me?
3). If my wife wants to join me after giving a birth so what options are open in that case too?

You can land and comeback. Later your wife can join or visit but before the expiry of medical. You can come back but you will need passport from visa exempted country else you will have to apply for TRV to enter Canda if you do not get PR card in your country of residence
