is there anyone who applied in june 2009 and got AOR from nova scotia,sydney office...well i applied on 19th june 2009 and still has not got reply ..one more thing is that i heard that they will only reply u fast if you are currntly working in the field which u claimed for that is in demand. ..is it true?

I don't think yet, it seems to be too early for june applicants to get response from nova scotia (i see at the forum that alot of may applications are still waiting for response from the CIO) . Have you checked with your bank whether your money order has been cashed by the CIO or still outstanding ! mine was cashed by the CIO last week, my application was recieved on june 8 / 2009 and of course still waiting.

Anyway, tomorrow is the first working day of the week in canada and of course the CIO will start sending the new group of responses for the processed applications.

June 4 - sent application to Nova Scotia via Fedex.
June 7 - application received in Nova Scotia (as per fedex' record)
June 9 - application received in Nova Scotia (according to AOR)
July 3 - draft encashed
July 28 - received AOR via email. For submission now of full application to local visa office.

Hey Congrats for crossing the first milestone. Could you please let us know about your NOC under whcih you have applied..and Country from where you have applied?

I have send my application to nova scotia on 20 may from india by DTDC it was received in canada in one week by a emloye named on POD. But still I am waiting AOR. I have heard that now a days they reply via e-mail only, no postal e-mail. Is this true?
If so do they send e-mail to principal applicant or to depened (Spouse) also. I have not checked wheather they encased the draft, I will check and post. But In first try to bank the manger joked and asked "I , think in this hard time they can run away with your money !!" Nice joke, I told him and leave, who knows this time I listen some new joke. I will post anyhow , lol.

Thanks. I am a Filipino residing in Cayman Islands. I applied under NOC 3152 (Registered Nurse). I'll be submitting my full application to visa office in Jamaica.

i sent my application from indian on 8th june, 2009. i am yet to hear from nova scotia.
 
Harryk, just the suggestion most of the folks are giving

You applied on 8th June --- very good.

  • Did you apply through normal post; or courier?
    have you tracked it to ensure it has reached the cio sydney?
    Have you checked with your bank if your draft was encashed?
    Lastly, when was your draft encashed? Give about 4 to 6 weeks from the date of encashment of draft...

thanks boltz. my application reached cio sydney safe and sound. will check with the bank to see whether the draft has been encashed or not. thanks again.
