Any one applied in February 2012 for multiple entry TRV and still waiting......

I had applied for multiple entry TRV for myself and my family and still waiting for the outcome. Do visit visas takes this long time. Its more than nine months. I had a good travel history, Good Job and sufficient funds. What might be the reason for such delay. Do any one face similar case specially for TRV.

I am from Pakistan. Living in UAE from 1985 with my complete family settled here and applied from Abu Dhabi-UAE. My parents,Brothers and Sister are living in Dubai from 1985. I had applied for myself,wife,daughter(4 years) and son(1 year). I had visited to London 4 times and still hold 10 years visa valid till 2021, Visited European countries France,Germany,Switzerland twice each. I had also visited Canada in 2009(that time visa was issued in 14 days). This also includes my visits with wife and daughter to London and Europe in 2010. All the above visits are between 2008-2010. I also got New zealand and Australia visa in 2010 but could not visit due to personal reasons. Also financially masha'Allah no problems.

Today at a dinner I met a Pakistani family who recently came to Canada on a visit visa.
They got their visa after 16 months. They ended up asking the embassy to return their passports and that they were not interested in getting the visa anymore, to their surprise the embassy returned their passports with the visa stamped.
So I guess it does happen...

Hi,
I received an email from Canada Consulate Abu Dhabi stating that to further processing of the our application we must submit my and my family original passports to consulate within one month from today. Hope for the best. The process has completed almost 10 months. I will be submitting the passport on next wednesday and will update you further.

We applied for multiple entry visa for our family at Abu Dhabi office in June 2012 and we got in 4 weeks. We are also Pakistani citizens.

My Visa was also issued yesterday for one year. But the processing time was very long this time. Never faced such time with UK,Australia,New Zealand,US,Schenghen and even Canada, in every case maximum time was four weeks. As i never give Tickets,Hotel Bookings and Invitation letters.
