Hi Knight & Madhura, I applied on November 09, 2009. I am expecting mine to reach CIO, NS on Nov 16 as well. As I did this through USPS Priority, there is noway to track the package. Please keep in touch. It's good to know the timeline from guys who applied during the same time.

Thank you.

Mailed CIO-NS: 09-Nov-09

I have reapplied and reached Sidney Nov. 13th, 2009

Regards

Please add in the thread title "applied to CIO" as there is another thread for Nov. 09 applicants but to New Delhi. So from the title it doesn't become clear that this thread is the same or different. Thanks

Hi,

Application received by CIC on Nov 02.

Class:FSW
NOC: 0213

Hoping for the best!

Guys, it's really nice to know that we already have good reponse for NOV '09 to CIO and the best part for me is most of us are '0213' which will help me compare the timeline very well. Here's my first question to this thread.

Is it a good idea to invest on notary, fingerprint, PCC from few countries and IELTS right now which, might sum up to about $600? Or, is it worth waiting for CIO decision and take further steps. I know we save time if prepare things now but I am also concerned about the decision from CIO. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Canpr,

I was thinking of waiting till I hear from CIO. I sent my documents thru Fedex, they were supposed to be there today at 5pm.

I am tracking it online, but they are not delivered yet. :(

I will keep you all posted.

Thanks,
M

Madhura, that's a safer approach but, on the whole starting the preparatory works after the decision from CIO in my opinion, extends the whole process by another 4-5 months. Anyways, we can only choose one or the other. I have already started preparing my documents but, I am little afraid of the decision from CIO. Keeping fingers crossed. Let's see how it goes.

I agree it will save time.
Even I have started to collecting documents. All my transcripts, birth certificate etc is kind of ready, but this all depends on CIO's decision. :)
Let's hope for the best. :)

Hi Folks
i am agreed with Madura too 600 $ is hell of money lets wait for file acceptance then apply for rest of the things, only time consuming thing is IELTS Exam dates (as far Middle East & Gulf Countries are concerned) try to book you your exam after 3 month of case lodgment date so that you exam will be ahead once you get the approval.

best of luck

Cheers

Dear All

one important info i want to share with All who are applying cases from Middle East especially UAE, do not use ARAMEX couriers (UAE's National Courier Service) because they need Phone number and contact person in the address of CIO Canada, without this they will not accept your application. we all know these two things are not available for Immigration applications. use UPS, DHL for FedEx etc.

Cheers

Hi Canper

can you please share with us the documents list you prepared for 2nd phase so that we also start gathering the documents? coz we'll get only 60 days after the file acceptance to submit the docs. case processing also depends upon our speed.

cheers
