Yep, I am praying is not that long for me either now. It's been 1 month and 4 days today after my medical results and there is still a complete silence...Do you know someone's timeline after getting the medical results? Thanks...

Actually the way things have been going on I have no idea. Some women I know their husband completed the medical back in October and applied June 18/2018 and have heard nothing since. I am may 9/2018 applicant for my husband and our medical was done much later and results much later than them. There have been some quicker visas in the past but it appears they may be utilizing the full 12 months. I know some it took 9 months total, others 10 or 11 months. But mostly seeing 12 months to the day or a day or two later from the time the application was received. It’s all based on how many applications have been received and they work in sequence to my knowledge. Just hoping for the best outcome sooner than later but I anticipate the 12 months.

Hi everyone! I have a specific question about medicals in Cuba.
At the hospital (Enrique Cabrera...el nacional) they told us that the Canadian embassy collects all the results from the medical exam. I don't know if the embassy itself sends the results to the CIC. They didn't even asked for my application number. Furthermore, I just uploaded proof of the appointment with the application since my deadline was Feb 11th and I had the exams on Feb 14th. How does the CIC get the results? I'm worried!
Everyone who has any idea...please help!!
Thanks

Hello angelique26...you don't need to be worried at all because it's the embassy who picks up the results at the hospital and then they check it all and from 8 to 11 weeks you will get the update of your medical results...The hospital doesn't need your application number at all..I hope this helps you to feel less worried...

You did not receive the form for the medical with all the pre written information on it to take with you to the medical appointment?

No, at the time I didn't realized I had to upload the upfront medical report along with the application. I then learned from the page where you upload documents at the interrogation mark that could upload proof of the medical appointment if I didn't have the upfront. Then that's what I did. So I sent my application on Feb 8th (it expired on Feb 11th) and the appointment was for Feb 14th, it was the only option. After, on Feb 14th, the day of the exams I got the upfront from the hospital but at this time the CIC days that if you didn't uploaded the upfront with your application you don't have to do anything else. Anyway, my concern comes with the fact that here in Cuba things are a bit different (difficult) and I don't know how they proceed. Now, Osmel told me that the embassy takes care of it. My question was how since they just have my very basic info. Like name, last name, birth date, address and phone number. That's all.

You did not have to upload the upfront medical with the application. With Cuba you simply wait for them to send you the medical request. They sent me the medical form with all the information of my husband already filled in. And yes Osmel is right. The form they sent me had all the information of my husband with application number and his Uci number so when it’s done the embassy knows which file it goes to. I am just surprised you did not have a formal attachment to that email for the medical request with the information already pre written in it. But you did in fact have your medical done? They take care of the rest. The immigration

I’m confused with what you mean by you sent your application and now it’s late. When did Canada originally get your application? I only received the medical 6 months into the process after it was in Havana.

And Sandrad is right...As I know the embassy gives you 1 month to be able to have your medical test and then if you can't have it during that timeline then it's that you have to write them and explain them the reason why...but did you husband finally do the medical test? did you receive by email a form with the details of what he had to bring to the medical and the payment he had to do before taking the medical?

Wait, it might be different types of applications. Mine is through Express Entry, Federal Skilled Workers. That might be it.

Through express entry I have no contact with the embassy so far. That's my concern.
