ANY NAIROBI applicant!?????

Who from Kenya is coming to Vancouver.i hav been here for five months it's nice place but one thing you will learn and have is a jetlag and culture shock.welcome to Canada everyone

8th Nov: CIC received application in Mississauga
4th Dec: Approved as sponsor
5th Dec: Medical results have been received (results were sent from Nairobi in August 2012 and then held until the application was received)

3rd Jan: No new update
 
You are a great encouragement here is my timeline:

Category: Spousal Sponsorship.
Application sent to Mississauga 12 September 2012
Application Received by CIC Mississauga September 14 2012
Application process started November 1 2012
Medicals Requested same day by CIC Mississauga November 2012
Sent Medicals on November 16 2012
Sponsorship Approved November 21 2012 and sent to Nairobi same day

Now my concern is this, since they sent my application to VO in Nairobi my application status was showing IN PROCESS until Thursday 28 March 2013 that I saw it changed to DECISION MADE but when I click on it there is no current info yet. Anyone with idea what could it be? thank you.
 
as i posted on other thread(s), my wife received her PR a couple of days ago. posting here in case others going through Nairobi are watching this thread (and not the others) for timelines.

Congratulations to all those you were successful in their PR application. And to all of us still waiting, i get encouragement to wait patiently for the good news to come our way very soon. My husband is sponsoring me, we applied in Feb 2013, Missusuaga approval in March, Nairobi request for more documents in april and in May they communicated that i will need an interview but the date not yet fixed.
How long will i wait for Nairobi interview?? Its now 2 months and no communication yet. Please share ideas. Thanks

Ask your sponsor to contact his MP frequently so that S/He can ask from Nairobi. Because Nairobi does not communicate directly with clients or sponsor but they do with MPs from my own experience. since you are waiting for an interview good luck, however be very prepared because it does not look good in your documentation that your sponsor filed. There must be some discrepancies in dates, information, documents, that your IO wants to finds out in person. Don't be afraid there are two types of interviews one which is eligibility interview and another one is security interview. Security interview is always at the last stage of processing if they detect that you have tie with people of interest that Canada is looking for or something is not clear after the RCMP finished doing your background checks. But in your case I see it is the eligibility interview to determine if your relationship is genuine or not. Once you pass this one you are good my friend because not too many people go for security interview compared to eligibility one. There are also other who took time to screen their files before they send them to CHC and they were not invited for eligibility interview. Others also passed their interviews and remain in the process. I believe and wish you a wonderful interview.

Am a Ugandan, applying through Nairobi for PR (Family class) and since May 2013 i have been waiting for an interview date to be fixed. This has really kept me anxious as each day i wait patiently for a communication from Nairobi. Is there anyone whose file is in the Interview queue like mine?? How should i prepare for the interview? Or is there anything i can do to do away with the interview?

Hi,
Just make sure you know all the things that are written on your sponsorship application when it was submitted to CIC and you will be ok, also you have to have a good knowledge of you spouse...I mean his work, his hobbies and staff like that and you'll be ok. and remember answer only the questions they ask and nothing else to avoid window for more unnecessary questions.
By the way when did you guys submit you application to Mississauga CIC; I also sponsored my wife on may 1st through Nairobi office.

Glad reading from you and thanks for the interview tips. Indeed i still remember well what i filled in the application forms and know quite a lot about my husband (his hobbies, work, background, e.tc). In fact recently my husband sent additional documents to Nairobi office to give more proof/information about our relationship and marriage. Hope this becomes of more help.

We submitted our application to Mississauga on 20th February 2013. For now we have just pray and wait patiently.
