Any market research managers/specialists on here?

If so, I'd like to double check which NOC code you have used.

NOC code 4163 looks quite appropriate, but so too does code 0125; I am applying via Express Entry as a FSW. As a brief background, I have been working as a market research manager at both a market research agency and media communications agency, running research studies, using tools to derive insights and understanding consumer trends.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Vishal

Hi, I have been working as Quant MR person on agency side for quite a while now.

I guess if you would use 4163 as NOC code, then it would match with your work reference letters and main duties... on the other hand 0125 is more like business services manager (with financial domain...except for advertising/ comm managers). 4163 does have significant portion of duties which is common in market research... I have used code 4163.

Hope this answers your question :)

Thank you my friend! I too have worked in Quantitative (as well as Qualitative) and I agree that the job duties mentioned under 4163 sound more relevant, yet 0125 has market research manager as a job title. I have also worked in media agencies, but handling consumer insights and market research. I think I will go with my instinct and use 4163, thanks for your advice!

Hi there,

Just bumping this topic, and seeing if anyone on here comes from a market research background.

I'm torn between 4163 and 0125, want to make sure I select the right NOC code.

Thanks!

I like that you share different market research on this thread. But I don't understand why you lose your time. There are already some verified websites to find different predictions and research on the market in every domain. I am already informing myself on such websites for already two years. It is a quick way of gathering industrial information for every person in business. I am using marketresearchfuture.com, where I can always find the latest news about the market and its change. This is the first thing I read when I wake up in the morning.
