I am still a bit confused about the processing time. When I lodged the application (June 25), it said the processing time is 7 weeks. But now it's 9 weeks. So which one is the normal processing time for me? I wanna raise a webform but not sure if my application has exceeded the normal processing time or not.

And you’ll raise a web form? Defer classes? I wanna put my bets in them and wait till like mid September, because the last thing I wanna do is to defer classes. And I’ll have to wait for another year if I defer. But it’s a dilemma, because if I decided to wait till the school starts then I won’t be able to defer. F hell, if the government can’t keep up with the processing time and give us permits on time, why the hell they allow universities to have in person classes?! All my classes are in person and no online options no matter what. It’s crazy that they do that to us. Sorry I feel like I’m going crazy.

Currently, For non-sds, may 20-23 files are getting processed. I don't think our review will start till month end.

Are you saying the 9 weeks processing time is just for SDS people? But for SDS, processing time is supposed to be 28 days or less though. I saw people with SDS got approved within 2 weeks

For Non-SDS there are no hard and fast rules, and no fixed processing times.

Check non-sds April thread.
That means, their profiles were complex or something. WE need to look at it this way too. In all probability we may get it soon too, I am just trying to be optimistic here. Already fucked from the fact that I can't and don't want to defer, so I have already started all my networking and applications online. I am just praying I get my visa so that I don't have much FOMO lol. But on a more serious note the visa, as it will for all of us, will alleviate any anxiety and help us focus more on our goals and aspirations.

That is for inland applicants.
but if you go to this website https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html it says for inland applicants, it's 11 weeks, which is 2 weeks more than people who apply from outside of Canada. If they are processing june 5 inland applicants, then they should be processing june 19 outland applicants right now. It's a vague prediction but outland applications are faster according to their website

Saying the file is complex seems to me like a scapegoat, let's hope if any June applicant gets PPR. No one wants to defer brother, I am just a little skeptical as I am not seeing any PPR for June applicants. Let's see what next week has for us. I pray we all get our PPR's soon, the wait is putting a toll on mental health. All of my friends have got their PPR's, even the ones who applied in July. I guess I made a mistake choosing the Non-SDS path.

Buddy if I had the resources to go for SDS, I would have. It's quite sad how the entire system is leaned towards people who can afford.
