Guys,
I'm an IT Professional with 9 yrs of Exp and thinking of applying for PR.
I heard most of the cases are rejected.

Wanted to know, if any IT professional has got his PR application approved.
Please share your experince and help me decide on my application ?

Which PR category you are trying to apply for? IT professions haven't been in the occupation list for you to apply through FSW.

I work as an SAP consultant. I just applied for PR. What do you want to know?

Thanks for your reply,

if you have used any consultant/Agent for application , please let me know .
FYI - I'm from India and working in Singapore
i do understand that " IT professions haven't been in the occupation list " hence this question that will the application be approved or should i wait till May 2013 and then apply.
M applying under NOC List of occupations under category - 2171 Information systems analysts and consultants

Do you have a job offer from Canada? If not then, you cannot apply for FSW right now. To be able to apply in May, your occupation has to fall in their occupation list that CIC is going to release in April. That's why I asked the question "which stream of PR do you want to apply for?" To apply through FSW, you either NEED to have a job offer or have your occupation in their list to even be eligible to apply. If you have neither, you simply can't apply.

Or do you already have at least a year of canadian work experience? Then, you could apply through the Canadian experience class.

Thanks Namaste ,

That was quick and accurate .
I do not have a job offer nor canadian work experience, so in this case you suggest not to waste my time .
is that correct ?

CIC says it will release the new NOC list in April. So, you can wait for it while also preparing for some things that need to be prepared ahead of time, just in case NOC 2171 happens to be in the list.
But, my personal opinion is that there is a very very slim chance that any IT-related profession will be in the list. It has never been in any of those lists in the past and these occupations aren't much sought for in Canada. So, you can hope but certainly don't expect it to be in the list.
