Hey guys got some questions about post study permits and CEC qualifications only for those who have graduated or are about to from the above mentioned universities with above mentioned degrees.

Hope some are here?

It may be helpful to post your questions as not only graduates from those Universities will have suggestions/answers.

I guess your right, shouldn't have made assumptions.

First thing I wanted to ask was about the post graduate work permit. 2 academic years are described as 16 months, or four terms. I have also read on the CIC that co-op placements count towards academic experiences (for CEC purposes, not idea about post grad work purposes or not). So my questions is for a program such as Laurier or Dalhousie, (3 study terms, 1/2 work terms) and total duration of 20 months, does it allow a 3 year post grad permit upon graduation?

Secondly, I wanted to know if it qualifies as the academic component for CEC purposes?

What did your admission letter say? Were you admitted to a 2 year program? If so, then yes, it qualifies for the graduate stream of CEC and you may qualify for a post graduate work permit up to 3 years.

havent applied yet, trying to get the facts first.

if only someone in this form had attended any 16month degree.
