After they accept you in to Montreal you find your way to any province you like they don't stop you going to your place of choiceWhat's the situation there? Do people have option either to go to Montreal shelter or Toronto shelter? Or are they all sent to Toronto with no choice?
Thank you for your reply. But someone told me that the documents they give you at the roxham road, i.e, the certified copy of the original passport, is not able to open a bank account out of Quebec. Neither can it be used to take a flight. Is that true?
And if I cannot withstand the long-term waiting time for hearing and would like to withdraw my claim in the middle, do you know how long will that take to get back my passport? And in order to have more choice on myself, can I not turn in the original passport at the beginning and give them a expired one instead? In that case, I can leave anytime I want. But will it result in longer detaining time at the border?
Absolutely not. This whole process is not easy.if want to visit as a tourist,I won't choose this method.I need time to figure out where to settle down as the welfare is not enough in big cities. Are you a genuine Asylum seeker? Are you afraid of persecution at your home country?
Or are you looking for a vacation under Asylum/refugee claim !?
from the questions you are asking looks like you trying to get benefit and tourism in Canada!!

If you decide to withdraw, your passport will be given to you at the airport they day you leave. You would receive a removal order.Thank you for your reply.
